Local Art Exhibition Celebrates Muskokas Natural Beauty and Environmental Stewardship

February 19th, 2026, HUNTSVILLE, ON — The Muskoka Watershed Council is pleased to announce an exciting collaboration with the Huntsville Art Society to present Watershed, a month-long art exhibition celebrating the natural beauty and ecological richness of the Muskoka region. The exhibition will run from March 2 to April 9, 2026, at Partners Hall in the Algonquin Theatre, Huntsville.

This unique show brings together local artists whose work is inspired by Muskoka’s forests, waterways, wildlife, and interconnected ecosystems. Through a diverse range of artistic styles and media, the exhibition aims to highlight the intricate relationships that sustain the region’s natural environment and to deepen public appreciation for its preservation.

“We believe that art has the power to capture the essence of our surroundings and create meaningful connections to nature,” said representatives from the Muskoka Watershed Council. “By partnering with the Huntsville Art Society, we are proud to provide a platform that showcases local artistic talent while raising awareness about the importance of protecting our watershed and natural heritage.”

The exhibition will open with a public reception on Tuesday, March 3, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, featuring a special guest talk by Rob Stimpson, who will share insights on conservation and the role of community engagement in protecting natural resources. The opening is sponsored by the Lake of Bays Association.

Organizers envision the event as a vibrant celebration of creativity and environmental stewardship. By bringing together artists, residents, and visitors, the exhibition seeks to foster dialogue about conservation, inspire appreciation for Muskoka’s landscapes, and encourage collective responsibility for safeguarding its ecosystems for future generations. Admission to the exhibition is free, and all are welcome. For more information about the Watershed exhibition, please contact the Muskoka Watershed Council or the Huntsville Art Society.
